Implementing an ERP system is never the same twice, every business is different and needs an approach that respects that and works with the business – not against it.

Mysoft has two types of approaches to implementing Sage X3– a “standard” delivery and an “extended scope” delivery. Both approaches deliver amazing results but normally one is more suitable than the other. Depending on where you are coming from, what you want to bring with you, and how fast you want to go live will help dictate your choice.

Standard Delivery (Kickstart)

This is an “off the shelf” solution, pre-configured with industry best practice settings and ready to get going quickly. This approach works fantastically for businesses which may not have established formal business processes, are looking for a more efficient and streamlined approach to business, or simply a return to a more refined business management solution.

Localisation vs legislation

Multi-territory operations require different sets of rules, default settings and parameters within the same ERP system to accommodate local needs. ERP localisation will allow these businesses to operate in different territories using the same system across the whole organisation. Sage X3 is natively capable of this functionality, and can be configured to accommodate most local requirements.  

Localisation

Localisation involves configuring the solution to align with a specific language, culture, the preferred local “look-and-feel” and local laws (tax rules, etc.) and business practices.

The aim is to seamlessly configure the system to maintain a cohesive ‘group system’ while allowing users to interact with it in their local language, with specific business practice, and meeting governing laws, tax rules, and regulations.

What Does Localisation Cover?

Legislation

Legislation configuration is an important part of localisation which focuses specifically on ensuring compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of a particular jurisdiction. This includes set up for local taxation requirements and local practices to ensure compliance with legal constraints and local accounting rules.

Legislation configuration can take place without full localisation (i.e. without language packs etc.), and often is the starting point to rolling out Sage X3 across multiple territories.
