We have recently welcomed another new member of staff to the Mysoft team; Rosemary Weineck.
Rosemary brings with her a wealth of experience in the IT and accounting industries as well as an infectious appetite to learn. We sat down for a quick chat with Rosemary to find out a bit more about her and what she’s hoping to achieve at Mysoft.
Could you tell us a bit more about your new role?
Well I will be working within the support team as a Support Analyst. I will be liaising with customers of all abilities to resolve issues in their day to day work environment with the Sage X3 system and working as a team to ensure that the customers are able to optimise their business process through Sage X3.
What past experience do you bring to the position?
Originally I worked in software development in South Africa, I then made the move over to England when my son was two and a half and subsequently had two girls. Stayed in England for 8 years where I worked part time in development, before heading back to South Africa where I studied for an accounting diploma. I then worked as an accountant for a company as well as doing a bit of their IT support, having completed MCSE courses part time. I also spent some time as a network administrator and in a support role that covered all aspects of IT. I then decided to move back to the UK and look for a software focussed position.
Have you had experience with software and Sage X3 before?
I’ve worked with a few different ERP and accounting systems before but nothing as complex as Sage X3. Have worked in very similar IT support roles but for different systems.
Why did you decide to join Mysoft?
The role was exactly what I had been looking for. Mysoft is also a great company to work for, it’s really nice to work for a progressive company and in such a positive environment. Everyone’s so friendly and eager to help. I’m learning something new and interesting every day and I’m actually excited to come into work every morning!
What are you excited about in your new role?
I’m excited to get to know the Sage X3 system more, it’s such a complex system there is a lot to learn but I’m getting there slowly! I enjoy the interaction with the customers. It is really interesting to see how companies work with Sage X3 in different ways.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Oh I like all the normal things like reading, walking and obviously looking after the children! I enjoy ballroom dancing as well and take regular dance classes, my favourite is salsa and the waltz, it’s such good exercise and is really good fun! I also like crafts, like quilting. I’m one of those people who always has to be doing something, I can’t sit still for 2 minutes, drives the kids mad!
