The Mysoft Mountaineers are taking on the challenging Yorkshire 3 Peak trek. The hike covers 24 miles with over 5,000 feet of climbing. It involves ascending and descending all 3 peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, tackling rocky terrain, steep climbs and uneven surfaces. Starting with Pen-y-Ghent, at 2277ft, the hike then covers Whernside, at 2415ft, and finally Ingleborough, at 2372ft, for the final ascent.

You might be reading this thinking we must be a bit mad to be taking on such a challenge! Walking 24 miles is tough enough, let alone with a 5,000 feet ascent as well! But, of course, it is all for a good cause. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is all in aid of the British Heart Foundation and all of the money raised goes towards powering their life saving research into heart disease. Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer but BHF are leading the fight against it and fighting for every single heartbeat.
