Alternative Financial System

Ambassadeurs Group operates across four entities within the gaming, hospitality, and entertainment sectors. With 85 years of experience, its focus is on delivering a high-quality service and experience to its guests. Ambassadeurs Group used Sage X3 as its core financial system, which delivered the best functionality during its implementation, but was not utilising the full solution, including the manufacturing & distribution modules, where Sage X3 excels. With Sage’s focus on cloud-based solutions, alongside substantial investment in Sage Intacct, Mysoft conducted a joint review with Ambassadeurs Group to assess current processes and cost analysis. The result was a recommendation to migrate to Sage Intacct, which offered better core finance functionality, whilst introducing cost savings in hosting, and by only including the functionality that the Ambassadeurs Group required.

(Our Current) Sage X3 (Version) was approaching end-of-life, so we had to either upgrade Sage X3 or do a complete system change. As we weren’t utilising the full scope of (Sage) X3 due to the nature of our business not requiring the manufacturing and distribution functionalities, we wanted to find a system that could reduce infrastructure costs and ERP complexities whilst simplifying and standardising our processes to improve efficiency, reduce duplication, and minimise manual intervention.”

Key Requirements

Overall, the review focused on ensuring alignment between the finance system, the wider systems landscape, and the way the organisation operates, both now and in the future. The main priority during this review was to ensure that no key functionality was lost, which could lead to a reduction in operational efficiency, while focusing on where improvements, automation and better in-system reporting could be achieved. Integrations were also a key consideration. Ambassadeurs Group operates within a broader systems landscape that includes Bespoke Casino Management Software, payroll, credit card processing and other business platforms, making it important that any finance solution can integrate effectively and support consistent data flows across the organisation. As a multi-entity, multi-sector organisation, it was crucial that any new system could support different operational processes, compliance requirements and internal control measures. In addition, the suitability of a cloud-based platform was considered, particularly in the context of supporting modern finance operations and future requirements.

Sage Intacct provided the right balance of strong financial management, automation, integration flexibility, and secure cloud delivery. Its dashboard and reporting modules aligned closely with our requirements, supporting both individual entities and consolidated reporting without introducing broader ERP scope where it wasn’t needed day-to-day.

Sage Intacct was selected by Ambassadeurs Group following a detailed review of its financial, technical, and operational requirements. The platform provided the right balance of strong financial management, automation, integration flexibility, and secure cloud delivery to support both individual entities and group-wide reporting needs.

  • Sage Intacct’s best-in-class financials best aligned with Ambassadeurs Group’s requirements: strong financial management and reporting without introducing a broader ERP scope where it wasn’t needed for day-to-day operations.
  • Sage AI and automation provided improvements in data processing, reducing manual work, improving audit readiness, and providing granular insights into each company, but also management of consolidated requirements.
  • Open API and import routines allowed for existing systems to remain in place by offering seamless and efficient transfer of data, unifying all data points into one centralised finance system.
  • Cloud-based reduced infrastructure costs, IT requirements, but maintained the security required for system access and safety requirements.
