Business challenges.

Burns Pet Food had grown into a business that spanned the full pet-nutrition lifecycle, from farming and manufacturing through to distribution and hands-on nutritional advice. But each of those stages was being run on a different system, including Sage Line 50.

Operating across so many disconnected systems created real friction. Data was difficult to keep track of and, more importantly, difficult to trust. Compiling management reports was a time-consuming exercise in pulling figures together from separate sources, and end-of-year audits became an expensive undertaking as a result.

What Burns needed was a single, modern business management solution — one that could integrate every part of the operation, from nutritional advice through to the manufacture of its high-quality pet foods, in one place.
