Cooper Turner Beck‘s evaluation of Mysoft was a detailed and collaborative process, focused on developing a thorough understanding of CTB’s requirements to ensure the proposed solution aligned with the Group’s operational needs and future growth ambitions.
Following initial discussions, Mysoft visited the Kingswinford operation to explore Cooper Turner Beck’s business model, ERP objectives, operational processes, and the physical movement of materials, goods, and stock across the site. The process continued through detailed requirements discussions, cost estimates and a tailored Sage X3 demonstration.
This allowed both teams to look beyond a traditional software demonstration and establish how Sage X3 could support the realities of Cooper Turner Beck’s finance and manufacturing environment.
Cooper Turner Beck subsequently confirmed its intention to engage Mysoft for the Sage X3 implementation, noting the work Mysoft undertook throughout the evaluation and proposal process.
As CTB continues to grow, we need systems and processes that can develop with the business. This programme will give us a consistent foundation for how we operate, helping our teams work more efficiently. By combining Mysoft’s expertise in Sage X3, KPMG’s transformation experience, and CTB’s operational knowledge, the Group is creating a scalable digital foundation that will improve efficiency, harmonise processes, and support sustainable growth across our European businesses.
Darren Lightfoot | Vice President of IT, Cooper Turner Beck

For a manufacturer supplying safety-critical products, system modernisation was about considerably more than replacing legacy software. Cooper Turner Beck needed to preserve and strengthen end-to-end material and product traceability while enhancing the accessibility, integration, visibility and scalability of the business software supporting its operation.
There was also a requirement for greater visibility and control across work in progress, stock locations and material movements, alongside stronger MRP, production scheduling, costing and financial reporting.
At Group level, scalability was another important consideration. The new platform needed to establish a core system configuration capable of supporting potential future deployments across other Cooper Turner Beck entities and territories while improving alignment with its sister company in France.
Improving financial reporting, margin visibility and consistency of financial controls.
Strengthening batch, material and product traceability while retaining the strengths of Cooper Turner Beck's existing processes.
Improving the capture of WIP quantities, material movements and the return of unused materials to stock.
Improving the management of freight, agent and associated purchasing costs and their impact on stock valuation.
Supporting actual, average and standard costing alongside the treatment of timing differences and cost movements.
Supporting bills of materials, routings and production and WIP control.
Introducing mobile and barcode-enabled transactions across the shop floor and warehouse.
Improving visibility of raw materials, finished goods, stock locations and work in progress.
With Sage X3, Cooper Turner Beck will move towards a single business platform connecting financial and operational processes rather than relying on separate legacy manufacturing software systems.
For operational teams, this will provide stronger control and visibility across materials, inventory, production, and work in progress, while supporting the end-to-end traceability required for safety-critical products.
For finance, Sage X3 will provide a more consistent foundation for financial controls, costing, margin visibility and reporting, with operational and financial information managed within the same integrated environment.
Mobile and barcode-enabled processes will bring system transactions closer to activity on the shop floor and within the warehouse, while the underlying Sage X3 configuration will provide a scalable foundation for Cooper Turner Beck and the wider Group’s longer-term ERP strategy.
Mysoft has, for over 20 years, worked with organisations to redefine business processes and implement ERP solutions that provide a competitive advantage. CTB’s selection of Sage X3, and its appointment of Mysoft to deliver the implementation, is a strong indication of the business’s commitment to a comprehensive transformation strategy. In an increasingly digitised world, it is imperative that organisations undertake programmes which optimise the use of business software and data to deliver real-world advantage, rather than simply adopting unproven emergent technologies (such as AI) without having built the underpinning process, data, and governance required. Mysoft is confident that this programme will deliver successful outcomes for CTB, driving operational efficiency across the Group.
