We had a chat with Support Manager Steve Higgins to find out more about him and his role at Mysoft.
Why did you decide to join Mysoft?
I found that everyone was really nice here, and felt welcomed by everyone I met. Mysoft has a very friendly atmosphere. I also liked the idea of joining a smaller team.
What is your role at Mysoft?
I am the Support Manager at Mysoft, so I run the Support Team. The Team primarily help customers who have queries or problems with their software. My job is also very hands on as I continue to talk to our customers every day.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like that every day is really different, because there is always a new problem to solve. Some of the problems take days to resolve, and I like the feeling of satisfaction when I find the solution. Sage X3 is such a big product and no single person knows it fully which makes my job really interesting.
What are you hoping to achieve for Mysoft in the future?
Firstly, I want to help build the support department as Mysoft grows. Ultimately, I hope to move into consultancy.
How has your experience been at Mysoft?
My role is very different to my previous jobs. I ran my own import business and so have very good experience of business processes. This helps me to understand Mysoft customer issues.
What is your background?
I have a Master’s Degree in International Business and a Degree in Applied Economics. After my Degrees, I lived in California for a while and ran my own business importing handicraft goods from Bali, South Africa, New Zealand and Peru. After that, I came back to the UK and I joined Mysoft.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy cycling and watching sport such as football, cricket and cycling. I also spend a lot of my spare time doing DIY. I do a lot of building things such as sheds and fences. I also laid original Victorian floorboards throughout my house.
