The Challenge

Business challenges.

Crescent Pharma began looking into new ERP systems as their requirements outgrew the functionalities of Sage 200. Crescent Pharma and their sister company Crescent Pharma OTC manufacture and distribute both licensed prescription-only and non-licensed over-the-counter medicines and medical devices. The majority of their business comes from generic, non-trademarked and generally unbranded solid dose medicines.

They also manufacture various oral solutions and niche products, as well as acting as a distributor for a number of other brands. With a new manufacturing site and more complex legislation coming into force, Crescent Pharma needed a more flexible and expandable system.

With headquarters in Overton, near Basingstoke, and a number of manufacturing and distribution sites around the country, the business needed a system capable of multi-site management and one that had flexibility when looking at new market opportunities.
